Pete McCarthy RIP terrible news -- I went to all his recent readings at the Greys -- and went on his 'Black magic and boredom in Hove' coach tour (pub crawl) soon after I moved down to Brighton -- also remember the Hangover Show with free Bloody Mary -- his two books were great and I believe there was another in the pipeline...

    I also remember the free Bloody Marys before Pete McCarthy's excellent Hangover Show.

    I first became aware of Pete McCarthy at an ICA James Bond spoof he had written and directed sometime in the 1980s (starring John Dowie).

    I also recall a great show featuring Pete and Roger McGough at (I think) the QEH on the Southbank a few years ago.

    A sad loss
