Up on a Thameslink to St Pancras and a walk across the street to Kings X.
My favourite station bar The Parcel Yard was closed for a refurb, so I searched out the Wetherspoons' Barrel Vault for a down market pint of Doom Bar.
This time up on on the Lumo I had a decent seat, with a table, though not much fooy/legroom. As was tradition, I met Sam at The Cloisters for a very welcome dark pint.

A busy day, but all threee shows at the same venue: The Pleasance:
First some art Andy Goldsworthy: Fifty Years at The Mound.
then it was Brighton's very own Victoria Melody in Trouble, Struggle, Bubble and Squeak in which she joins a English Civil War reeactment society. Now I don't like audience participation at the best of times so was alarmed by the notice at the entrance (no spoilers) - however she made a joke about this and it was all all right!
Next off was John Shuttleworth, who is always a guaranteed laugh. He'd stripped down his Raise the 'oof' tour down to a festival hour and it was perfect!
Third show of the day was someone I hadn't seen before Glenn Moore in Please Sir, Glenn I have some Moore?

On a bus to Leith for a tour of the new Port of Leith distillery. Everything brand spanking new but not allowed to sell anything named as Scotch until it's seven years old. So they'd been making gin (easy) and buying barrels of sherry and port to be used in the ageing process. We did get a tiny bottle of clear liquid to take away and a decent tasting of other goodies on site. A good view of the Antony Gormley sculpture as well.
Meal at Barry Fish: But no scallops! and I had a light heated go at a chef I met on the way to the toilet about the kale - horrible stuff - turned out that it was the actual Barry i was chatting with (we checked on their website)!

Up early for Daniel Kitson's Please Note this is not a bargain show. We spotted him earlier on his Brompton (we were in a taxi)
Scottish National Portrate gallery for The World of King James VI and I exhibition and some soup.
Took our usual seats fat the Stand for Simon Munnery who'd been having falls so delivered lttle stories from an arm chair.
Plenty of lovely scallops cooked many ways at Japanese restaurant Yamato, where took place the extreme wasabi incident!
